Neerja (2016)

This is a story based on a real life hero Neerja Bhanot who saved e59 lives but lost her own.

The role of Neerja is played by Sonam Kapoor.

A 22 years old part-time model, she was the head flight attendant of PanAm73 on 5th sep,1986. When the flight landed in Karachi, it was hijacked by terrorists. After watching the movie I totally believe that they were psychotic, seriously so. Neerja is able to warn the pilots before the plane takes off, thus preventing the terrorists' plan to force the plane to Cyprus.

The terrorists start killing passengers. All the while, Neerja tries to be brave and help the passengers as much as she can.

Some 17 hours later the plane loses auxiliary power and the lights go out. Despite Neerja and the other attendants trying to explain this as a normal airplane reaction, the terrorists believe the power was cut by the Pakistan armed forces who will soon storm the plane. They now begin indiscriminately shooting passengers. At great peril to her own life Neerja opens the rear door and deploys the chute and begins directing passengers down the chute. Neerja could have escaped by herself but she chose to put the passengers first. In the end she is shot by the terrorists as she tries to shield young children from the gunfire.
I didn't cry through all this. But, at the end of the film, Neerja's mother, played by Shabana Azmi, gives a tribute to her on her one year death anniversary. That's when you suddenly feel the impact of the whole movie.
There are other elements that make this story more tragic. But, its worth seeing

Baby For The Billionaire series by Melody Anne

This series is supposed to be read after Billionaire Bachelors series by Melody Anne. But I read this one first. So, this series gets the review first.

This series has 5 books. The first three books are of Titan cousins- Derek, Drew and Ryan. The 4th book is of Damien Whitfield, who is a friend of Trinity(book 2) and the fourth book is of Misty Elton, Damien's lost sister....

THE TYCOON'S REVENGE

This is the story of Jasmine Freeman and Derek Titan. Both were together in high school and ready to run away and marry when Jasmine's dad viciously separates them. At that time, Derek was poor and Jasmine was rich. So, 10 years later when Derek is a billionaire, he decides to take revenge. What he is not expecting is his 10 year old son Jacob and Jasmine's treatment by her father.

This is the story of a man making his family whole and them finding love again....

THE TYCOON'S VACATION

When Drew Titan went on a vacation, the last thing he wanted to do was smack Trinity Mathews with his surf-board. Well, that happened, and so did sex. Now, Trinity is pregnant. When Drew comes to know about it, he woos her heart and soul...

In this book, we are inroduced to Damien Whitfield, a childhood friend of Trinity. Technically, Trinity is Damien's only friend.

THE TYCOON'S PROPOSAL

Ryan Titan and Nicole Lander were together in high school. But then, Nicole pushed him away. Instead of talking to her, Ryan(the idiot) decided to hate her (and take revenge if he can). After 12 years, Nicole is out of money and options and is desperate to save her little sister. Ryan had always been fond of Patsy, So, Nicole asks him for help. Ryan decides it is as good a time to take revenge as he was gonna get..... Obviously everything turns out to be well and good in the end and she gets pergnant....

!!!SPOILER!!! She pushed him away because her father was an abusive a-hole. (though I am sure most of you would have guessed it)

THE TYCOON'S SECRET

Damien Whitfield lost his parents when he was young. His mother made him promise to take revenge against the Andersons(Billionaire Bachelors series) on her death bed. Sierra has been abused by her dad all her life and now is sold to Damien. Damien buys her because she is the best friend of Bree Anderson( Runaway Hieress, Billionaire Bachelors series) and he plans to enter their lives through Sierra. Well, Sierra grows a backbone and leaves his ass in Australia when she needs to clear his head. When Sierra comes to know about Damien's plan, she tells it to the Anderson family thinking that they can make him understand. They do that and after a few days, Damien proposes Sierra by singing I Won't Give Up by Jason Mraz with all the anderson and Titan boys at his back.

Damien is bilogically Joseph's cousin. Get that!!! Joseph's uncle decided to have an affair with a young girl and died. Poor her, no wonder she was so bitter. During this, Damien comes to know about his lost sister, who he never knew about. That's the story for next book.. Keep reading!

THE LOST TYCOON

During this, they fall in love and discover that she is the lost sister of the billionaire Damien Whitfield ( her mother had left her in a basket with a message written that she is to be taken to Damien, not even the surname. Uh!! Excuse me if I think she was a b**ch)

After this, Of course everything is good in the world......

Trust In Advertising by Victoria Michaels....

Trust In Advertising is the story of Alexandra 'Lexi' White and Vincent 'Vince' Drake(though he hates it if anyone other than Madison, his niece calls her that ;) ).

Vincent is this hot shot owner of an advertising firm and Lexi is his assistant, hired by his match-maker of a mother. Technically, they go way back. Anna, Vincent's sister and Lexi did annual books together in school and Mrs. Drake had known, and remembered her.

Its a funny and light story. I like it. Maybe....

I mean, Vincent isn't exactly my favorite character. He is distrustful and hurts Lexi way too much, and I am not talking about not remembering her from high school. He is rude to her, lashes out on her when he is angry and doesn't in believe her when his ideas are stolen from under his nose. But more than that, he keeps sending her mixed signals. I mean, he doesn't accept anything to her and keeps that viper close, but he also kisses her and gets her hopes up. And she is also appears weak.

I maybe exaggerating, because I still liked it. I would not give it 5 stars, but I guess 4, maybe.

Three Wishes by Kristen Ashley....

When I ask my friends if they have ever read Kristen Ashley, they look at me blankly. But she is my favourite author. To be honest, my first real, heavy novel was by Kristen Ashley- Three Wishes.....

It's would come in the category of fantasy romance if genies are really and trully mythological. The story is of Lily Jacobs, who inherited a genie, Fazire from her mother and Nathaniel 'Nate' McAllister, a hotty to the bone.....

The cover of the book doesn't do it justice. And the book is not that fantastical either. Its more like it has just a touch of fantasy. The book is am-ah-zing...*sighs*

Basically Lily's grandma got three wishes from a genie and she refused to use them. So, Fazire became a fixture in her and her daughter's life. Lily's mother used one of the wishes when she asked for Lily. Fazire decided that she would be beyond anyone's imagination, but... There's always a but, he wanted her to know humility, which he did by pretty much making Lily's school life hell. One day, when Lily had had too much, she made the second wish. She wished for a hero like she read about in romance novels, in quite a graphical details, I dare say...

“One day, I wish to find a man like in my books. He has to be just like in one of my books. And he has to love me, love me more than anything in the world. Most important of all, he has to think I’m beautiful.”
Sounds simple, doesn't it? That she'll become a real beauty once she grows up, meet her knight in the shining armour and they'll ride into the sunset towards eternal happiness. Not so fast people.

Lily wanted that they face problems. Like there aren't enough of them already. And boy! Did Fazire grant her wish or what!!! He gave her Nate *swoons*, who didn't have anything easy in his life and is himself full of insecurities and self-doubt.

When Lily's parents die, she has already met Nate and even has had sex with him(in London). But, she doesn't get a chance to meet him before she has to rush home. Nate thinks that she dumped him and doesn't bother looking for her (the dumbo). Back home,  Lily comes to know that she is pregnant. She takes with Fazire to Nate's parents' house(they are step parents and I am not telling the whole story), where his crying step-sister opens the door

!!!SPOILER ALERT!!!
and tells her that Nate is dead. At this news, she is devastated.

Lemme tell you, Nate's step-siblings were Satan's children. Guessed yet? She lied. Nate was well and truly alive and had just left moments before Lily came there with Fazire.
Don't worry. They get what they deserve at the end.
When Lily goes back to London with Tash and Fazire, she comes to know that Nate's alive and all of them thought that Lily was the bad person. When Lily hardships are revealed, they realize they were the ones who did her wrong. Here is that dialogue, one of my favourite ones between Nate and Lily....

“You told me you’d never let me go,” she whispered but it was an accusation. His eyes closed and the pain in them swept over his entire face and settled there like it would never, ever leave. Then he shocked her again. He dropped his forehead to hers and kept his hands on her. Something out of her control made her continue. “You told me,” she said in a shaky voice, “you’d always take care of me.”

!!!END OF SPOILER!!!

Once again Nate is gonna do something worth getting his ass kicked but it all turns out good in the end. So I guess that is all that matters...

She returns back home where she goes on raising her daughter, Natasha 'Tash' Roberts McAllister Jacobs ( for those wondering, Roberts was the last name of Nate's step-parents, McAllister Nate's and Jacobs Lily's), named after her father. Awwww.....

I cried, I laughed. But the question is, do I recommend it? HELL YEAH!!!

Gray Court Series by Dana Marie Bell

I just cannot rid myself of my habit to read novels. My weakness-chocolate and romance novels.

Gray Court Series by Dana Marie Bell is a paranormal series, like many of her other books and romance.

The series is called Gray Court because the love plot is between the characters who are either a part of the Gray court or become so in the story. The series shows three courts- the White, ruled by Queen Gloriana, the Black court, ruled by Queen Titannia, and the Gray court, ruled by High King Oberon, the strongest of all

DARE TO BELIEVE
The first book, Dare To Believe is the story of a half-Sidhe half-Lepreachun Leo Dunne  and a human Ruby HallowayLeo is the CEO of the company where Ruby works. When Leo realizes that Ruby is his One, he plans with Ruby's best friend to get together with her. When there is a family emergency and Leo has to return to his family, Ruby accompanies him and together they face his problems with the Malmayne's.
It is a funny book with a witty woman and a half-sidhe with a colorful magic.

I personally like the characters of Ruby and the Hob, whose story becomes the fourth book of the series.

There is, of course, a story between Oberon and Titannia. Twists are something you just have to have.
you can read below, or just read the books....

NOBLE BLOOD

The second book, Noble Blood, is the story of Moira Dunne,half-Sidhe half-Lepreachun Jaden Blackthorne and Duncan Malmayne. All the characters are introduced in the first book. This story is about how the Moira and Duncan make Jaden accept that they are his true-mates. Then they face trouble from the Malmayne clan and accept the Gray court.

How can the Hob be left out? He obviously visits them considering Jaden is one of his beloved Blades.

Alas!! We won't get to his story till the fourth book!

Aristic Vision

The third book of the series, Artistic vision, is the third book of series, the story of  Shane Dunne, a pure hybrid and Akane Russo, a dragon.... Sparks will fly, literally ;)

Shane is a sculptor, thus the name of the book. Akane is the daughter of the seer and Shane is a seer. I am not gonna go in details, because they are mostly revealed in the first two books. Shane is quite a piece of work. When I read that he spoiled her brand new Porche Boxter, you cannot imagine how angry I was at him. I wanted to smack him upside-down. Anyhow, you'll read it and come to know.

THE HOB

Ahh!! The most awaited book if you have read the first three books. This is the story of Robin Goodfellow, a breed of his own and Micheala Exton, a human(though there is a twist I am not telling you about)...

When the Black Queen kidnaps one of the White Queen's nephews, Robin Goodfellow is sent to ensure that the young prince safely returns to the bosom of his family. True to his role as Oberon’s Hobgoblin, he is ready for anything…except meeting his truebond, the very delicious, very human Michaela Exton.

Michaela has dreamed about a flame-haired rogue named Robin Goodfellow since she was a little girl, but everyone knows Puck doesn’t really exist. In real life, it’s a dark-eyed man named Ringo who makes her heart beat faster.
FYI, if Robin loses it, there will be more destruction than a hundreds of meteors falling on earth..... ;)
See them falling in love....

SIREN'S SONG

Who wants the name of the woman to bring the mighty Oberon on his knees? This is the story of the High King of the Gray-Court Oberon(I am not revealing his last name or his type, it took me five books to know that) and a siren, Cassie....

Oberon is well and truly lost, with no memory of who he is, where he came from, or where he’s going.
Cassie knows the truth—he is the High King, her truebond, the one man born to be hers and hers alone. Restoring his memory and keeping him out of the Black Court’s clutches is her mission, though success means losing him. Yet to give the world back its High King, she will make that sacrifice.
As soon as Oberon’s memory comes crashing back through his mind’s closed door, he makes one vow. Though beset by enemies, chased and attacked, he will return to his rightful place with his Queen by his side.
Except when he makes good on his vow, all hell breaks loose
NEVER MORE

The final book of the series, though I hope she writes a following series for all the characters left, at least some of them like Liam, is the story of Raven Goodfellow, half-Robin (his father) half- Raven (the bird) and Amanda, Ruby's friend(from first book) and a human(the one who helped Leo and Ruby get together. Its a nice story but incomplete. Titannia sends Raven's half brother Sayyid to kill him, which Raven and gang fight tooth and nail and defeat them temporarily.

This series is incomplete. There are a lot of characters whose stories are expected, like Mellissa and Liam and Martin's and Matt's. I guess we'll have to wait for them.

Some songs that can wake you up....

Or not, if you are as lazy as me. ;)
Anyhoooo, I like 'em a little loud and bouncy.
Like, Around  The World which I have mentioned earlier, or maybe Dance Like We're Making Love by Ciara. Oh yes!! That is one my favourites.
Then there is Whistle by FloRida, of course, how can I forget Womanizer by Britney Spears, love that song, I mean like to hear it. I am so not a vagitarian (if you know what I mean, no offence) and also On my mind by Ellie Golding .....

Sometimes of course, I can just not stay without a Hindi song, then I have Diary by Arminder Gill, nice song, or maybe Engine ki seeti by Sunidhi Chauhan and Resmi Satish, from my playlist. I also like Khubsurat (2015) a lot. I think it's a nice, light hearted, funny love story.

Lately I have been listening to Dil Chiz Tujhe De di from Airlift. Actually all its songs, I really like all of them. Although, in the vedio, I find it rather amusing that the guy is proclaiming his love to the girl while dancing with a stage full of belly-dancers. I won't be surprised if she leaves him before the night is over ;)

MUSIC IS MY LIFE!! I HAVE NO IDEA HOW I CAN STAY WITHOUT LISTENING AT LEAST ONE SONG, or more than one....
KEEP LISTENING AND READING!!
I AM WAITING FOR SOME INPUT FROM MY VIEWERS!!
