I am finally writing this review. I have read this series 4 times. Can u believe that?
Anyhoo, this is my all time favorite series. Although I was waiting for the last book of the series to be released, which is to be done at the end of this year, but then I thought u would want to read the books in the series before u hit the last one...
Let me tell you in advance. It is a fantasy romance series. And if you like fantasies, you are going to fall in love. If you don't like fantasies, you, my dear, have found the correct series for you. 'Cause this series is super awesome..... Each book has one person from this world transferred to a parallel world where each person of this world has a twin. In these books 4 girls are transferred to another world where they fall in love with 4 hot alpha males (my type of book)......
So here goes..... (a warning:- this is going to be a looong post)
WILDEST DREAMS
This is the story of Frey Drakkar(that world) and Seoafin "Finnie" Wilde(this world). Finnie lost her parents at a very young age during one of their adventures. When Finnie came to know about the other world and that her parents are alive in it, she decided her next adventure would be a travel between worlds. What she doesn't know is that the Sjofn(trust me, thats the spelling) of other world agreed to the exchange only because she is a lesbian and the last thing she wanted to do was marry some guy. When the exchange is over, Finnie cones to know that Sjofn left her in a complete fix, she is a few minutes away from getting married to The Drakkar and she has to follow through being a princess.
Well, they get married and then Frey dumps her at his hunting cabin (not the most impressive place). Not to worry, things go uphill from there. Finnie tells him she is not a lesbian after he returns after a few weeks.
Frey gets a message from the elves, yeah
elves, I know, cool right? Oh! I guess I forgot to tell you, 'Frey' means lord of elves and 'Drakkar' means controller of dragons (real life dragons). Totally hot!!! So, he gets to know Finnie is not Sjofn. Then he decides to basically seduce her and keep her in this world, with him, whatever it takes (though he has already got her connected to him and that world forever, elves being super cool and super strong).
He does some stuff to make her very furious without her permission, which she discovers just before they are attacked. Frey is killed in the attack and Finnie is left behind to save herself and her child from enemies (quite a lot of enemies).
Their hardships and adventures, I am gonna leave for you to find. There isn't exactly a spoiler or cliffhanger in this story. So, I guess those who don't like those are safe. Though there is mention of the characters of the next three books. Lucky for you, they are already released.
THE GOLDEN DYNASTY
THIS is my all-time favorite novel. You know the novels which you read ten times and still don't get bored of. Well, I have not read it 10 times but 6, and whenever I finish it, I want to read it again. Seriously. It's that good.
This is the story of
Lahn, King of Korwahn & The Mightiest Warrior of All Lands(that's so fah-
ree-king cool)
and
Circe Kaye Quinn (this world), though in that world she is known as the True Golden Queen Circe ('
Suh Rahna Tunakanhsa Dakshahna Hahla Circe' in their language)......
Basically, her other world twin, sick of being abused, exchanged places with this world Circe without her knowledge, of course, just before The Wife Hunt. I am not gonna describe it, read for yourself. There, Dax (king) Lahn gets infatuated with her. They obviously have a lot of troubles. Circe is always in turmoil about the major cultural differences and has to bear a lot. The horrors of the Hunt, after that Dortak(u'll read about him), then Lahn hitting her, lets just say troubles come in bounty.....
When they think they have crossed all hurdles and are happy, Circe's (of that world) past interferes. It is revealed that she was the toy of a very cruel ruler Baldur. Baldur approaches Lahn with his whole army to get back Circe (you'll find she is a very freaking cool sorceress) and riches. Circe (of this world) hadn't revealed this exchange between worlds to Lahn yet. This is able to drive a very deep wedge between them. Grieving her lost love, Circe is somehow able to take herself back to her own world (no exchange). After living here for five months, Lahn is able to bring her back to his world. It take a him a long time to win her back. But win her back he does.
Oh!! Oh!! I forgot!! Circe has such a cute white tigress as her pet!!! OMG!! Thats totally
cool!!!
Damn!! Now I want to read it again. Unfortunately I have a long list of novels to write posts about so this will have to wait.....
FANTASTICAL
This is my second favorite of the series. This is the story of Cora Goode(this world) and Prince Noctorno "Tor" Hawthorne, Ruler of Bellybryn (boy!!! these boys have cool names or wha!!!)
Cora's other world twin is evil and she knowingly goes in that world putting her sister in danger. Basically, Cora(this world) wakes up in that world where, she meets her sister (who we come to know died in this world). Being absolutely clueless, she accidentally starts a curse given by Minerva(the name so suits her). As Tor only knows the other world Cora who is a b**ch, to be precise, he is very rude to her in the beginning, but he warms up to her. Or so we thought.
Actually the dumbo is pretending, can u believe that!!! The jerk. Cora is sho shweet and he still doesn't believe her. When Cora comes to know about it, she runs away from him and tumbles down some stairs. Then, Minerva being the witch she is, transfers both Tor and Cora to this world. Finally, finally!!!! Tor believes her. There, they come to know, Cora of the other world has spoiled everything and has somehow managed to find Noctorno of this world who is a cop and get involved in illegal games. She has been very busy... They both try to find a way to return to that world when Minerva plays again and separates them by sending Tor to his world.
But, obviously every problem is solved...
BROKEN DOVE
This book is more or less like the conclusion book, only that this is a standalone in its own right.
This is the story of
Apollo Ulfr and
Ilsa (this world). If you have read the other ones, u would know that Apollo lost his wife Ilsa who he loved so much that he pays Valentine to bring the other world(meaning this world) twin of Ilsa to his world. Ilsa(this world) is also married to Apollo of this world, who is abusive and hunting her(she ran away from him).
Apollo expects his wife back but, obviously, he doesn't get that. At first, he is disappointed and leaves her to the graces of his cousins. When she gets close to his cousins, he becomes jealous and, voila! we have a love story.
But, this, my darlings, is the conclusion. Meaning, the evil witch Minerva, that world Cora, Baldur, this world Apollo and their partners are felled.
Now, if you want to know the role of this world Noctorno, he is the one who brings in ammunition ;)
As I have already mentioned my favorite one is
The Golden Dynasty, and when I say its my favorite, I mean I have read it 5 times and the 6th time before writing this post and every time I finish it, I want to read it again... But I cannot wait for Noc's story. When it comes out, I'm gonna update this very post. So please read these books.....
For those who don't like cliffhangers, let me tell you, each story can be read as a standalone. Though, all characters are connected and if you read all the books in sequence, the not-so-significant cliffhanger ends in the fourth book....
